CSISAC moderated a debate on Internet fragmentation

On Tuesday, December 13, Carlos Rey Moreno, CSISAC delegate and member of the Association for Progressive Communications, moderated the roundtable on "Internet at Risk", within the framework of the OECD 2022 Ministerial Meeting, which is being held until December 16 in Gran Canaria, Spain.

This session was aimed to discuss the political and technical risks to the future of the Internet, as well as to assess the role of policy-makers in maintaining it without fragmenting trust. 

Some key points that were highlighted in this roundtable were: 

  • What is fragmentation for the technical community? 
  • Risks of fragmentation.
  • The Internet as a political tool.
  • The influence of the virtual space in decision-making.
