Dec 14, 2022
On Wednesday, December 14, CSISAC delegates participated in the Workshop "The future of simulated environments and immersive technologies", in the framework of the OECD Ministerial Meeting 2022, which is being held until December 16 in Gran Canaria, Spain.

The objective of the session was to analyze the advances in simulated environments and the application of immersive technologies.

Bruno Bioni, member of CSISAC and founder and Executive Director of Data Privacy Brazil, referred to the relationship of these new technologies with the progress of Artificial Intelligence and that as a result of this, the regulatory framework of these technologies should be discussed. "The primary issue is to say that regulation is not only needed but should also have a public deliberation. Regulator is not only the state but also the accountable stakeholders", the delegate argued.

On the other hand, Gemma Galdon Clavell, president of Eticas, went deeper into the existing problems regarding access to these new technologies and the difficulty of their production. "Companies should help people decide", concluded the speaker.
