Ministerial Day 1: High-level Panel “Data Governance for Growth and Well-Being”

On Wednesday, December 14, Pam Dixon, delegate and member of the CSISAC Steering Committee, led the "High-level Panel: Conclusions from Going Digital III - Data Governance for Growth and Well-Being" at the OECD 2022 Ministerial Meeting, which runs through December 16 in Gran Canaria, Spain.

The purpose of this meeting was to discuss and analyze data protection and data governance in the digital environment.

"When we talk about data protection and data governance we want to be sure that everyone has a seat at the table, we do not have all people at the table. people are left behind", remarked Pam Dixon, Executive Director of the World Privacy Forum.


On the other hand, the participation of civil society and its work on the issue was discussed. The delegate concluded by saying: "We must ensure that civil society has a robust, miningful voice".
