Ministerial Day 2: CSISAC participated in the Roundtable "Building trust in cross-border data flows"

On Thursday, December 15, Burcu Kilic, CSISAC member and Head of Policy at Minderoo Foundation, participated in the ministerial panel "Building trust in cross-border data flows", in the framework of the OECD 2022 Ministerial Meeting, which is being held until December 16 in Gran Canaria, Spain.

The purpose of this meeting was to analyze the key points regarding data flows, prohibitions, and access, among others. Kilic emphasized the need to promote dialogue to move forward on personal data: "We need to talk about those prohibitions. our rights on data and make sure those prohibitions enable trust. in order to do that we need to talk about exceptions. this requires an update".
